I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with your mediator, so let me briefly tell you a bit about myself.

I have practiced law in Atlanta since my 1996 graduation from Fordham University School of Law in Manhattan. I have worked at different firms in the Atlanta area, from an insurance-defense boutique to a 350-attorney international law firm. I have achieved many successful results as a civil litigator, having won jury trials and bench trials, motions for summary judgment, and in the Georgia Court of Appeals.

In 2006, I left the full-time practice of law to pursue a career as a mediator. I felt that my

experience analyzing litigation risk and recommending creative solutions could help other litigants resolve their disputes.

Since becoming a mediator, I have mediated well over 200 cases, in both the civil and domestic fields. On the civil side, I have mediated cases large and small, including commercial disputes, personal injury claims, eminent domain cases and wrongful death cases. In the domestic arena, I have handled everything from the paternity legitimation cases to complete divorces. I have had to deal with pro se litigants and parties represented by some of Atlanta?s finest firms. I have seen people argue as fiercely about $100 as they do about $100,000.

I understand the need for the adversarial legal system. Sometimes a party must fight tooth and nail to protect their rights. I am not a mediator who believes that every case can and should be mediated, nor do I prolong the proceedings when the parties aren?t in the same ?zip code.? But many cases could be better resolved by communication, cooperation, and compromise through mediation. I believe that I achieve excellent results for my clients, and I invite you to read what some of my clients have to say about me.

When you need a mediator to facilitate the settlement discussions, when you need a mediator to ask probing questions about the case, when you need a mediator to explore the parties? best interests, when you need a mediator to get the parties to reevaluate positions and make informed decisions, let me use my experience to help you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. If you want further information on my background, you may find my CV here or please feel free to call.
